I discovered massage in 1991 after an unfortunate encounter with a semi. Receiving massage twice a week as part of my therapy, I picked up some moves and found that I really enjoyed bringing relief to my frinds and family's achy shoulders and necks. Fast forward to 2009... while working on the shoulders of a massage therapist friend she said to me "You do better than the girl I trade with, why don't you go to school and get licensed so you can get paid for it?" I probably had a "duh" look on my face as I wondered "Why didn't I think of that?" I was a really good accountant and it hadn't occurred to me to change careers...until that moment, and the next day I began researching schools. I decided on Birmingham School of Massage, and the rest is history.

When I began Stellar Massage in 2010 it was just me, a massage table, a massage chair, and a single room in an office building. I soon found that I was turning people away and found someone to help me, then another, until now, fully staffed, there are 6 of us. I never forgot my roots, which was basically chair massage without the fancy chair, and I really enjoy performing chair massage. The rest of my staff do as well, so I decided to make a separate website to showcase our chair massage services. I also designed this website, which is why there are no bells and whistles, just information and a few pictures.

Why do we enjoy performing chair massage so much?

People are REALLY happy to see us. Who doesn't like to be the ray of sunshine in someone's day?

It is very satisfying to bring relief to someone who is in pain.

We enjoy working with people.

Chair massage sessions are shorter with less time between, so time seems to fly by.

No two people are alike, so our work never gets boring.

It's relaxing, not just to the client, but to us as well.
